DEACONS OF THE CHURCH
- WORK OF DEACONS:
- Duties of deacons are not as clear-cut as the duties of elders, but their
duties were undoubtedly that of helpers and servants.
- They were to serve tables (Acts 6:2, 3). They did the work of deacons or servants.
- Deacons are under the oversight of elders just as other members of the church.
- If there were no work for deacons to do, we would not need deacons.
If deacons don't intend to do the work of deacons, they should not occupy that position.
