SHE'S 'PRO-CHOICE'
When it comes to her stance on abortion, she is on the side commonly known as "Pro-choice." It means that she feels a woman has the right to terminate her pregnancy for any of a variety of causes such as rape, incest, being unmarried, poor, the child is the wrong sex, or simply because a child would be inconvenient at the time. For whatever reason a mother would choose to have an abortion, this woman is for it. Why? Because she believes in the right of a woman to do what she pleases with her life. It is her body and it ought to be her choice.
The arguments against the morality of abortion do not sway her. She seems to have little concern for the fact that when a woman becomes pregnant, she has to start thinking about the rights of another life as well as her own. She does not seem to care about medical reports which prove that one becomes a person at conception or that some abortionists themselves admit that life begins at conception and abortion is killing.
On top of all of this, she seems indifferent about what the Bible has to say on the subject. Under the law of Moses the death penalty was levied against one who killed an unborn child (Ex. 21:22-24). God's view of the unborn raises them above the status of "fetus" and gives them their true quality, recognizable personalities possessed of eternal souls (Jer. 1:5). The unborn child is called a baby (Lk. 1:41), a child (II Sam. 11:5), and is referred to in either the masculine or feminine gender and never in the neuter (Ruth 1:11)
She is "pro-choice." She is more concerned about the rights of a grown woman than she is about the rights of an innocent infant. Why, if she had lived in the first century, she would have encouraged Mary (a poor, unwed woman) to abort her first child (Jesus).
Do not talk to her about the responsibility a person has prior to conception. Do not tell her that godly morals are the solution to this problem. Do not tell her that adoption agencies throughout the country have people just waiting to adopt a baby which they themselves are incapable of having. She does not want to hear it. She wants a woman to have the right to do what she wants with her body, even if it means committing murder and she will travel far and wide to promote her doctrine.
She is "pro-choice." In the broader sense, she is what we call a feminist. She is just one of millions of her kind.
